Dr. Allen was born in Anaheim, California but was raised in Holstein, Iowa. He was fortunate to find out what Chiropractic can do at a young age. He attended the University of South Dakota, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science Degree with a double major in Psychology and Pre-Chiropractic. During his time there he was a member of the Men’s Golf Team. He furthered his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned his degree in 2010. Since then, he has been serving patients in the Greater Des Moines area.
Dr. Allen has extensive training in many Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, and modern Acupuncture techniques. He uses a variety of techniques to best suit each patient; including Gonstead, Diversified, Extremities, Sports Medicine, Activator & Zone Technique, but has found that many patients love “specific prone”, a gentle technique that has proven effective from small children to elderly.
Dr. Allen is a recurrent speaker at local and national chiropractic conferences. He is a member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, the Acupuncture Society of America and the Zone School of Healing.
He and his wife live in Waukee with their 3 boys, Simon, Hank and Max. In their free time they enjoy being outdoors, either on the golf course or at the lake, and spending time together as a family.
Outside of the office, Dr. Allen is a member of various philanthropic groups that raise funding for area youth non-profit organizations.
Dr. Allen is committed to providing the very best service to our patients through continued educational training. He looks to be your primary source in the Des Moines area for family health and wellness care.
