Dr. Allen is originally from Holstein, IA. Being very active in
youth sports, he was fortunate to find out what Chiropractic can do at a
young age. He attended The University of South Dakota where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree while being a member of the Men’s Golf Team. He furthered his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2010. Since then, he has been serving patients in the Greater Des Moines area.
Dr. Allen has extensive training in many Chiropractic, Physiotherapy,
and modern Acupuncture techniques. He uses a variety of techniques to best suit each patient; including Gonstead, Diversified, Extremities, Sports Medicine, Activator & Zone Technique, but has found that many patients love “specific prone”, a gentle technique that has proven effective from small children to elderly.
Dr. Allen is a recurrent speaker at local and national chiropractic
conferences. He is a member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, the
Acupuncture Society of America and the Zone School of Healing.
He and his wife Angie live in West Des Moines with their 3 boys,
Simon, Hank and Max. In their free time they enjoy being active
outdoors and spending time together as a family. Outside of the
office, Dr. Allen is a member of various philanthropic groups that
raise funding for area youth non-profit organizations.

area for family health and wellness care.
Jessica was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She is
bilingual and fluent in Spanish. Jessica joined the Pure Wellness team in November 2019 and has loved making an impact on people’s health. She is one of the friendly faces you will see upon entering Pure Wellness. She promises to make you feel welcomed and loved. Jessica is excited to be a part of your healing journey and looks forward to meeting you soon!
Karla grew up in Hampton, Iowa. She is bilingual in English and
Spanish. Outside of work, Karla loves going to the gym, attending classic car shows, and traveling. Karla is passionate about treating you with care the second you walk in through the doors. She is super excited to be apart of the Pure Wellness Team! She is more than ready to help you feel better and healthier!
